Day 1: Departure ✈️

I’m off again! It’s been two long years but honestly am so excited I can board an aircraft again. I think I did wait patiently enough as I’m not required to do any PCR or RAT tests to enter the country, nor have to quarantine. I like how we’re actually easing back to our “normal lives” prior to this storm of the virus.

In the days leading up to today, I was paranoid, stressed and constantly anxious. I avoided social gatherings and basically became a hermit at home, only going out for essential needs. It did take a toll on my overall health because my period did come later than usual as well. But now that the day is here, I’m feeling better. I did get a scare with a sore throat a few days ago, but I’ve consistently tested negative. Even today too!

Definitely in the all clear!

It doesn’t help that my workplace is infested with patients and unaware patients. But that is what our current government wants – definitely going to keep that in mind for when we vote in the Federal Election next month.

Anyways, clearing customs was easy as I had already organised everything to the tee – definitely saves a lot of time and the hassle as well. It does get annoying seeing people going through their bags without such preparation because time is of the essence to get the charging ports!

I’m honestly surprised it’s a full flight but then again, a lot of us have to go through Dubai as a stopover to Europe and other countries. Why is Australia so far 😢

Already I hear crying toddlers and I honestly hoped I could’ve had a peaceful flight because I only had 4 hours of sleep last night. I’ve prepped masks and eye masks for the flight too so I don’t want it to go to waste…
