It is finally Friday! And the Tokyo Olympics is going to start at 9pm AEST! I honestly can’t wait for the opening ceremony because it’s Japan!
I miss the culture, the food, the people and even just being there. I always love going back to my stories and watching my experiences. Can’t believe it was only 2 years ago.
Maybe I might go back…hopefully once this situation settles down and everyone is vaccinated.
I woke up quite early today…perhaps too excited for the weekend. It was good thought because I managed to sneak in another Harry Potter film before I started teaching. I’ve started a marathon of HP films since yesterday and I think I can finish it today. I’m already on Deathly Hallows Part 1 so it’s very likely I’ll finish it before the opening ceremony begins.
Plus, I need to dedicate time to watch Kingdom because it’s already out. So much to watch but so little time.
Having a marathon really takes a toll on your energy especially after working a full day. We had another long meeting today but I’m so glad another week is done. One more week to go and hopefully we’ll be back to face-face teaching (though I still like online learning – just not the increasing workload).
There’s this saying how we should always work smarter, not harder. And that’s what I’m trying to do, but I guess others like to increase everyone’s workload 😦
Oh well. I’m going to shake off this negativity with a nap before this ceremony starts ~
