95% sleep quality and I didn’t wake up in the middle of the night! YES! But I did wake up quite early at 7:07am. And no, it wasn’t to go out for a jog. I did that in the afternoon, and would prefer to continue my walks in the afternoon when it’s a bit warmer.
I managed to complete some chores around the house and I can say that clearing out my bins in the morning was a good way to go out for some fresh air to start off the day. Definitely needed as today’s school day was a long one with an hour meeting 😦 But I’m glad I don’t work 9-5, though I am still lesson planning in the evening since the day is spent marking.
It was around 16 degrees when I finally left the house for my walk. It was still chilly but the wind wasn’t as ferocious as yesterday. The views were still fantastic and the waves were still alive in its incoming. Walking while chatting with friends does pass the time quickly and its good that we try to keep each other accountable.
It does build up an appetite though in which I couldn’t wait to get home to make my own version of Korean Army Stew 부대찌개. I forgot to get tofu when I was shopping yesterday but I’m glad I still had tteok which I used to replace noodles. Usually I would add spam, sausages and other processed meats, but I decided to stick with seafoods today and add in some beef tendon meatballs, zucchinis and enoki mushrooms – my fave! And of course, you can’t forget kimchi!
I didn’t manage to take a photo of it because I was too hungry to care. I still have leftovers so perhaps I’ll add in more tteok, last night’s homemade beef meatballs, mushrooms, and perhaps some korean dumplings for tomorrow’s brunch. Or, I’ll stick to my smashed avo because I haven’t had it for days.
