Ok, the alcohol theory worked! Better sleep quality and I was able to go to bed immediately! Though waking up was a bit of a problem but at least, it’s gradually working!
It was raining the entire day so I couldn’t go out to enjoy the scenery. So, I spent the day working productively on school preparation – kids you better be thankful.
I completely changed the layout of my lesson planner using OneNote and played around with the colours so its still aesthetically pleasing to my eye – prettiness is key to working efficiently 🙂 Aren’t the colours pretty? I’ve already have my whole 10-week set up done for each class so I’m hoping this term will progress quite smoothly!
Even though this is my 4th year of teaching, I still like to reflect on my teaching practices so I can continually improve on them. I mean, my students will also benefit won’t they? I supervised a practicum teacher this year and honestly, hearing that she has learnt so much from me kind of surprised me. I liked supervising newbies as I even learn something from them. Their motivation and passion to help students succeed in their schooling and for life also solidifies the fact that “yes, I’m in the right profession”.
There is that statistic that 1 in 5 teachers in their first 5 years of teaching leave. I never wanted to be part of that statistic but last year tested me. This year also tested me, and it has only been two terms.
Let’s see how the rest of the year progresses. I don’t want to be part of that statistic.
