Wanting to use our Dine & Discover vouchers, this place is one of the best place to redeem them! Not only do they accept your vouchers Mon-Thurs but they also double it’s value! So basically, every individual can redeem $50 from one voucher then pay whatever’s leftover!
What a deal!
So it was no brainer that we came here to use it. Only thing is, alcohol is not included in the vouchers. But that didn’t matter as we got the worth from the food!
There’s quite a variety of dishes to choose from and I went a bit naughty on this very night. I chose all three of their tacos on the menu ($8 each) which I think was a bit too pricy looking back now.
Taco 1: Crumbed white fish, adobo sauce, lime mayo, tomato salsa (df)
Taco 2: Grilled chicken achiote, cabbage, guacamole, jalapeño (df)
Taco 3: Pulled smoked brisket, chimichurri, slaw, crema (not pictured)
Though I found the tacos pricey, I love every single bite of it! The fish taco reminds me of an upgraded McDonald’s fish burgers. Every mouthful was packed with flavour even after removing those green chillies. (Yes, there was more than one slice!)
The grilled chicken was special and that pulled smoked brisket – yum! I honestly enjoyed every bite of them and adding that touch of lime was spot on!
Pictured above (L-R): Roasted Tasmania salmon, sweet pea, tahini, lime, jalapeno & coriander (df, gf) $29 & Flash-fried crisp squid, harissa spiced salt, lime aioli (df, gf) $21
I have to pay mention to that pea sauce from the salmon which was absolutely divine! It went well with everything, including that fried squid! I love how they cooked the squid, though they added a bit too much harissa as it overpowered the genuine flavour of that seafood.
But once you swipe that harissa off and dip it into the aioli or even scab some pea sauce, it is phenomenal!
The chips were well cooked and every crunch took me closer to foodie heaven. This place honestly lived up to its reviews and I was thoroughly glad!
I can honestly sleep knowing that my money (and vouchers) was well spent!
Wagyu was cooked medium rare – kudos to the chef who got that one done right perfectly!
But paying extra $2.5 for that amount of sauce…🥲

Honestly, I like the location as it is opposite to Mona Vale beach (one of my faves). I can definitely imagine myself coming here for a bite after a swim.
I like the atmosphere here and it reminds me of The Mean Fiddler. I love the Fiddler because it was so close to home, and now I can consider this place my new one. It helps that the staff were friendly and quick with their service – lovely banter to top it off as well!
