KOGI Korean BBQ @ Market City, CBD

Wagyu

Only my second time here and I can say that I’m impressed with their service! They were so attentive and very helpful in helping us to cook the meat, changing the grills and even taking photos.

Before arriving, I made sure to book a table for 6pm because I know this place is popular. Luckily I did because tables filled up quite quickly as soon as we were seated. Phew!

Ginseng Chicken

One thing I love about this place was the generous servings of side dishes! We of course had a few favourites and I definitely enjoyed their kimchi! Besides that, we were all impressed with the quality of the meat. We ordered a variety of wagyu beef, pork and chicken in addition to our must-haves: seafood pancake and makgeolli!

Honestly, I enjoyed every single moment here and I was glad that my guests did as well! We even celebrated their arrival here in Sydney with traditional makgeolli which they also enjoyed 🙂

Seafood pancake

If I have to say one negative thing…it would be that the seafood pancake was a bit too oily for my liking. I guess the thickness made it hard for it to be crispy on the outside but that’s not to say that it didn’t taste good.

Would I come back? Damn yeh! Even though I don’t often come to the city for Korean, this is definitely a place for recommendation for others who want to have quality Korean cuisine in Sydney CBD.
