You know what..I think I should try this out now that its holidays and I can use this time to not slack off and go on a holiday binge (which is what I usually do). Honestly, I’m worried about how this will go because I’m afraid I will give up and stop after a few days. But now I’m on pinterest and just found out that I can enjoy my usual black coffee in the morning during the fasting period!
HECK YEH! I’m loving the sound of this already!I’m only considering this because I want to lose weight. I have been exercising at least 3x a week for over 2 years now, but my body has still maintained the same weight. This is mainly due to my diet and I have no self-control when it comes to delicious foods! I eat healthily, just in larger amounts I guess. I don’t snack often, I don’t drink soft drinks and I’ve limited my alcohol intake by a lot!
As I’m on holidays, I’m just thinking about my 16:8 schedule and how I should plan this out. Breakfast is important and my mum hates the idea of me skipping breakfast but during holiday period, I usually have brunch. And so I think I’ll start tomorrow, 10.30am-6.30pm.I’ll keep adjusting until I find a time in which I’m comfortable with but I think I can do it. Just need to reschedule dinner dates to an earlier time 😂
*Update.1: Its my 2nd day and so far its alright. I did get a bit peckish after my workout late last night but controlled myself well and didn’t eat. The next morning, I was surprised my stomach didn’t grumble. I’m currently enjoying my black coffee and patiently waiting for my 8-hour window to begin eating!
**Update.2: 3rd day – I’m surprised I’m still surviving! I have to admit, I sneaked in a small spoon of fried rice because my family kept on tempting me with food during my fasting period 😦 Otherwise, I resisted!
***Update.3: 4th day – I’m not hungry? Is this possible? Even last night when my friend tempted me with fresh hot cross buns, I. did. not. sneak. in. anything.! Damn I’m proud of myself. I feel like this can be a long-term commitment…but it might change once I get back to work ..
****Update.4: 7th day – It has been a week and I DID IT!!!!!!!! I can’t believe it! It wasn’t as hard as I thought and I think I can survive intermittent fasting when I get back to work. One main thing I realised while going through this was that my poo didn’t come out as solids..so I’ve been having diarrhoea – maybe because I had spicy foods but it was weird. Anyways, I’m going to take a one day break from fasting before getting back to it because I need food to fuel up energy since I’ll be doing some heavy lifting duties.
