Day 23: Final day

I can’t believe it! I survived 23 days here already! I packed everything last night and just completed the final touches.

I washed my hair, changed and ensured I got everything. As soon as that was done, I was off to the airport. It was quite convenient to travel with my large luggage, carry on and myself on the train. Probably because I didn’t need to change trains ๐Ÿ˜‚

On my way to KIX

I was at the airport only a few minutes early for check in. And so, it was the perfect time to scour a place to sit down and eat. There were quite a bit of choices at the airport but I settled for sushi because I wanted more sashimi ๐Ÿฃ I even tried blow fish for the first time and it was alright. This place wasn’t the best but it was still enjoyable.

Went all out for my final breakfast in Osaka

Then I went to check in. Silly me didn’t realised I queued for the wrong airline until 5-10mins past. Once I realised, I went to the correct queue in which there was no queue at all! ๐Ÿ™Š

Why is it so empty? Is it going to be my private flight?

Going through customs was tedious as it was so packed! But once I got through it, I was sweating and had to take off my thermal… It’s so hot!

Then, I did a bit of duty free shopping and even this was tiring because it was so hard to move around when there’s lots of people pushing you..

Look at the clouds โ˜

I take back my words… It’s a packed flight. But it’s only a 3 hour flight to Taipei so I will survive ๐Ÿ™‚

I think I slept on the flight for nearly an hour as food started arriving when I woke up. I had a choice between chicken or pork and I chose the latter. It was nice and I enjoyed everything! I also got red wine so I’m definitely comfortable.

I think my flight arrived a bit later than usual probably due to the turbalances occurred during the flight. In any case, I think I won’t get out of the airport as I have 5 hours till my next flight to Sydney and it takes an hour to get to Taipei City each way. Plus, I need to take into account of immigration and customs..probably not worth the hassle.

Also, my phone was nearly dead. Imagine how ecstatic I was to discover their lounge and I didn’t have to search for it! Charging phone to 100% YEAH!

Peaceful lounge ~

Their lounge is alright as I’m only here to charge my phone. And for food. I couldn’t believe how cheap the food is as I got beef noodles set with vegetables and long black for NT$180 (roughly A$8)! I enjoyed the noodles and they gave me plenty of beef ๐Ÿ™‚ Totally satisfied. Plus, I got to catch up on a new drama ep though I’m feeling pretty tired and kind of skipped a few scenes.

Waiting waiting waiting

Next time, I’m never listening to my mum to book long layover flights. No point in being stuck at the airport for so long. I’m just glad my hand carry isn’t heavy. But I’m tired.

Nevertheless, I’m so glad I did this trip. A learning curve and wouldnt change it for anything!

P.S I’m so proud of myself for documenting this trip daily! Albeit there has been times whereby I didn’t upload on the exact day because *drinking* but I was pretty consistent ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s great for me to reminisce my memories whenever I miss Japan or just solo travelling.
