You’ve probably heard of Grounds of Alexandria and might have already heard/seen that they have opened another place in the city in The Galleries (opp QVB). Like the Alexandria restaurant, this place was always quick to be filled with patrons and we had to queue up. Luckily we didn’t need to wait long as the queue shortened quite quickly (also probably because there were only two of us).
The service was slow and our food took 30 mins to arrive! It was funny because the waiter said that he loved the look of our faces when we saw him carrying in our food. Who wouldn’t? We were ‘patiently’ waiting for a long time!

Our juices also took a while to come…I think its because there were so many patrons but then the table next to us got their orders quickly! This was not OK! Why do some patrons have to wait for so long and others don’t? Honestly, I was a bit annoyed.

The pasta and the mussel gratin were cooked well, nicely seasoned and tastes great! But, waiting for a long time does damper your mood. They were lucky that I wasn’t too hungry because the gratin will not be enough for lunch.

Overall, good food and ok service. It would have been better if we did not wait too long for our food. But, I found it too pricey and there are other places where you can get similar or better foods for less than this!
