I cooked dinner. No really I did. In fact I didn’t know that I had the ability to do this myself.
I was getting worried because it was close to 5pm and no one was home except for me. I knew that I didn’t want to eat so late so I decided to do something about it.
No one informed me what we were going to have for dinner so using my brain, I headed straight for the fridge.
And guess what? I saw a metal bowl filled with pork meat. I also saw packages of dumpling skins. That means, 饺子 for dinner!
So I went to grab some chives, garlic, ginger, sesame oil and soy sauce to prepare the mix for the dumplings.
While taking a break from dumplings (after making 80), I decided to cook fried rice. I was looking anxiously at the clock because I wanted to get this done before 7pm. I quickly heated up last night’ leftover brown rice in the microwave because it had been in the fridge overnight. Then chucked it into the pan (not before putting oil and garlic). Then in went the carrots then egg. I admit, I should have put the carrots in the pan before the rice to cook it first because it was hard afterwards (not all of it was fully cooked but it gave a nice crunch 😜).
