Narrated by a third person looking onto Hatshepsut’s life, it provides an in-depth knowledge of the events happened during that time. As a person who is very much interested in ancient history and had studied Hatshepsut’s life for a year, these information were not new to me.
For those who have not heard or known much about Hatshepsut, Queen of Egypt and God’s Wife of Amen, after reading this book would you realise how remarkable and significant she was to ancient Egyptians. Cooney captured this well and it was a pleasure to read.
Moreover, I love the regal cover of this book as it displays Hatshepsut’s majestic aura and characteristic as she was the King of Egypt.
Overall, a nice read during my holiday break which I definitely enjoyed =)
